Jen Bryant has always been involved in physical activity—she was a dancer growing up and played division II college basketball. She has completed her bachelor’s degree in Biology and doctorate in physiology. Following graduation, weight lifting, running, and other physical activity continued to be a part of her adult life. Jen began practicing yoga in 2015 as a way to regain some flexibility after herniating three discs in her back in 2011 and subsequently giving birth to two children in 2012 and 2015. She was pleasantly surprised at the flexibility, stress relief, and also strength she has gained from practicing yoga. Shortly after beginning to practice yoga she began practicing aerial yoga and fell in love with this practice and how much of an impact it had on decreasing her chronic back pain. She completed her Dharana Aerial Yoga Certification Level 1 with Jaime Haines in June 2018, and has been teaching Aerial Flow at Jala Yoga since July 2018. Jen is also professor at Shenandoah University’s School of Pharmacy. Jen is passionate about health and self-care and wants to help people find the strength, fun, and flexibility in their bodies that can improve their overall wellbeing.
